What is 2-1-1 San Benito County?
2-1-1 San Benito County, a program of Interface Children & Family Services, is the comprehensive information and referral service for San Benito County, connecting over 30,000 San Benito County callers and texters each year with information about health and human services available to them. The 2-1-1 San Benito County phone and text service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 150 languages through phone interpretation services. Launched on February 11, 2005, 2-1-1 San Benito County was the first active 2-1-1 in the state of California. In February of 2017, Interface added texting to 2-1-1 call or click services. One of few nationwide to offer two-way texting available 24/7 in English and Spanish. 2-1-1 San Benito County also provides resources to over 3,000 unique visitors each month through the 211San Benito.org website.
During times of disaster, 2-1-1 provides incident specific information in coordination with local emergency services, including road closures and shelters both locally and nationwide.
